Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American singer and actress is very popular. She was raised by her mom throughout the USA she faced many racial slurs that made her feel being unwanted. After she participated in school contests and received high praise for her singing when she was in the ninth grade she began to grow more confident. Not only did it boost her confidence, but also her goals were changed. The 22-year-old graduated with a degree from Julliard School in New York. In 1993, she made her Broadway debut in Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was called You've Got Mail. Her greatest break came in her performance as The Lady of The Lake in the first Broadway adaptation of Spamalot. The show won her the Tony Award and received great praise for the role. In the following year, when she was Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy for ABC the show, she received more appreciation. Alongside being an acclaimed singer she released a solo and a longer piece. In addition, she has been a vocal advocate for LGBT issues.
